Traffic chaos in Cynon Valley
Posted by Lewis on the 11th February 2014
Anyone attempting to get out of Cynon Valley this morning found the way blocked.
Police closed off the A4059 Mountain Ash to Cwmbach road due to a bad accident I know there was at least one female casualty, lets hope she is recovering from her ordeal. It could happen to anyone that’s the problem with accidents.
No attempt was made by Local Council or Police to aid traffic flow through Abercwmboi and Mountain Ash on the B4275; we have traffic wardens and PCSO’s not one to be found.
Journey time from Aberdare to Mountain Ash was 1½ hour not good if you need to get to work, I understand there was a long queue in Llwydcoed waiting to get on to the heads of the valleys road.
I am informed that the Mountain Ash bottleneck is now backing on to the A470 some nights yes the new left turn to assist traffic flows a labour joke.
Traffic is getting heavier in Cynon Valley and Andrew Morgan Highways RCTC is doing nothing constructive to ease the flow at peak times through his own constituency of Mountain Ash.
It seems other valleys are getting ample funding for major upgrading of highways if you drive around and see improvements that have been made.
Safe labour seats get no funding for major improvements no need we have an MP that lives in Cardiff an AM who lives in Ynysybwl no need to develop a better highways system through Cynon Valley.
