Merger of Councils

The merger of Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil councils has been recommended as part of a radical change in Welsh local government.
Will it be the case of bigger authority bigger wages for councillor’s director’s managers and the rest?
RCT, well I was told it stood for Robbers Crooks and Thieves but now they will have to add an M
I don’t think Merthyr would want to join up with RCT
Merthyr are attempting to slash its budget by £15.3m over the next four years but RCT its £70m over four years bit of a difference
Merthyr have a decent town hall RCT still have factory units and haven’t moved on since the county borough was formed on 1 April 1996 not a progressive council only of directors and manager’s wages they know how to progress on that.
