The "No Hope" plan for RCT.

Rhondda Cynon Taff Council - Developemnt Plan.
No hope for Maerdy.
The Maerdy strategic site consists of the west side of the Rhondda Fach Valley, north of the village and the Stage 1 land reclamation scheme. The pitheads and mineral railway were in the narrow valley floor, with colliery tips on the valley side and plateau above. Options were considered that included creation of major industrial development plateaus in the site. These have now been discounted on account of the major engineering works required to form large plateaus and to extend the Lower Rhondda Fach Relief Road to the site, and the unlikelihood of attracting a major development.
No hope for Welsh language.
It is not considered that there is currently a need for a specific Welsh language policy.
No hope for Blaenrhondda, just a sink housing estate.
Residential development of 400 units – 3 plateaus: 2 for medium density development (35 dwellings / hectare) and 1 for lower density (30 dwellings / hectare).
How does the Cynon fare ?
