Josh, 15, described the facilities at the children’s hospice as “amazing” and said: “We were a bit apprehensive beforehand but it’s a really happy place. There are some amazing facilities here. It’s such a lovely place.”

He added: “It keeps you grounded and makes you realise how much you should appreciate things in life.

“I didn’t expect to be so colourful and such a happy place to be in. Everyone is so positive and friendly.”
Katie Palmer, aged 17, who was one of the youngsters who met the twins, said: “They were really lovely lads and it was great to meet them.

“I carved pumpkins with them and chatted with them about the X Factor and what is was like to go through to the judge’s houses.”

Katie, from Tonyrefail, who suffers from a heart defect called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, added: “It was the highlight of my week and I have written them a letter to thank them for their visit.”
