Velindre University NHS Trust to host first virtual Board meeting
Velindre University NHS Trust will hold its first virtual Board meeting in public on Thursday 30 July.
The Trust Executive Team and Non-Executive Directors will hold their Board meeting in public using the Zoom platform in an organisational first. The Board has overall responsibility for the strategy and performance of the Trust and its Divisions.
The public will be able to observe the meeting from the widely available video conferencing platform Zoom. The agenda is now live on the Trust website.
Professor Donna Mead OBE, Chair of the Velindre University NHS Trust Board said: “Among the many lessons learned during the Covid-19 pandemic was the benefit of using technology to conduct our business – meetings with each other and consultation with our patients. Our next milestone is to realise our ongoing commitment to accountability and transparency by using such technology for live streaming the Trust Board meeting. The Board is committed to maintaining our engagement with partners and stakeholders and it will be a great opportunity for the public to see how we work and understand our organisational priorities over the coming months.”
