Two Mountain Ash Comprehensive Pupils Climb Pen y Fan for charity.
Amy Macintosh and Alfie Price climbed Pen y Fan in August to raise money for Tenovus Cancer Care. Together they have raised a fantastic £345 so far! Both Amy and Alfie decided to raise money for the charity following being involved with the school’s fundraising for the charity over the passed twelve months.
Tenovus Cancer Care has continued to support cancer patients and their loved ones throughout the pandemic. Its Mobile Support Units are still delivering chemotherapy treatment, their nurse-led support line is still receiving calls and their benefit advisors are still supporting patients with money worries. In addition, their Sing with Us community-based choirs moved online using Zoom and Facebook Live.

Throughout the pandemic, Tenovus Cancer Care has been answering questions not only from cancer patients, but also people worrying about symptoms, concerned about how the current situation may impact them.
