Mike Powell selected as Parliamentary Candidate for Pontypridd.
Mike Powell has once again been selected as the Welsh Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for the Pontypridd constituency ahead of a much anticipated snap general election.
"Johnson's Government is in complete chaos and Corbyn has been unable to put together any effective opposition – both parties are in turmoil. Only the Liberal Democrats have held firm all along in our belief that we are stronger as a member of the EU.
"Yet whilst all the talk is of Brexit there are so many other issues which affect residents in this area and over which our current representatives have let us down.
"The RCT education system has become a postcode lottery with half of our schools stripped of sixth forms. Cwm Taf Health Authority allowed its maternity services to deteriorate to the point they were put in special measures/
"Our town centres are still struggling; anti-social behaviour is on the increase and the homeless are being vilified instead of given the help they need.
"Change is desperately needed and people across the country are beginning to see that only the Liberal Democrats can offer that."
