The issue of Flooding again and Rhondda Cynon Taf Council unenthusiastic approach to reopen the Robertstown Bridge

So we have had a few days of rain and I have been informed that the Public Right of Way at the Ynys is flooded again so again I ask the question why? Photos by Welshlass2 Twitter

On the 16 of April Rhondda Cynon Taf Council had contractors Samatrix Limited working on the 2 water pumps that was just 24 days ago, AberdareOnline has contacted Samatrix Limited for comment but as yet no response.

Apparently, another PROW is flooded in Robertstown so much for looking after our PROW but do the council care well you can make your own mind up about that just remember how many times access is stopped from flooding at the Ynys. Not forgetting the PROW footpath 35 in Trecynon inaccessible from 7 August 2018 no sign of work starting to repair the grade 2 listed Iron Bridge.

Ultimately the council by not repairing the bridge making it what seems a permanent obstruction that in law should not interfere with the exercise of the public right to use the public right of way over the bridge.

This is not the council repairing the bridge but an old photograph take years ago just thought we would remind the council.
