HMRC: Latest CJRS & SEISS stats
HMRC’s latest national, regional and trade statistics for the UK Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) and Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) have gone live.
The CJRS stats provide analysis of claims up to 31 January 2021 under the CJRS extension, which opened for claims on 1 November. The data is broken down by various demographics including employer size, sector, geography (down to local authority), age, gender and furlough type. The release also includes snapshots at 31 December and 31 January There is also the usual timeseries data.
The SEISS release outlines claims made for the third grant up to 31 January 2021 since the scheme opened on 30 November 2020. The data is broken down by age, gender, sector of employment, geography (down to local authority). As claims for SEISS 3 have now closed, there are now tables available to compare several demographics with SEISS 1 and 2.
There are also supplementary statistics with further detail on the first and second SEISS grants up to 31 October 2020. There are further geographical breakdowns, tables showing claim bands and income bands, and further details of the ineligible population.
