Welsh Conservative response to Wales' bus service closures leaving people 'isolated'
Responding to a BBC Wales report on bus service closures, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Transport, Natasha Asghar MS said:
“The consistent failures of the Welsh Labour Government are having a devastating impact on bus services in Wales.
“People across the country rely on public transport for a variety of reasons, from doing their weekly shop, going to work, or visiting relatives in hospital, but these closures sadly come as no surprise after the years of neglect and mismanagement by Labour ministers.
"With bus services deteriorating, and Labour intent on punishing car users with taxes and no more investment in critical infrastructure, ministers are dishing up a recipe for disaster for our economic recovery and people's livelihoods.
“We need a clear plan and timescales from the Welsh Labour Government as to when people across the country will see much needed improvement in bus services."
