RCT Council Aberdare Roundabout on A4095 requires road markings?

Following up on Twitter comments people concerned about the lack of road layout marking on the A4059 at the Roundabout servicing Abernant, Robertstown, Cwmbach, Sports complex and eventually Aberdare Community School.

As the RCTC have installed a pelican crossing next to this busy roundabout vehicles consistently block passage through the roundabout and no clear road marking when negotiating the roundabout.

To help the traffic to flow it would be advisable to place a yellow box at the junction points this would free up queuing traffic wanting to cross the roundabout.

Traffic at this roundabout will increase when the school is open consequently something should be sorted out by RCTCBC

Customer Services please can you pass on the above to Councillor, Director and Manager listed below

Cllr Andrew Morgan, Cabinet Member for Frontline Services

Apparently RCTC informed the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff of their proposals for the roundabout but they were turned down they have been resubmitted but it seems the problem remains.

Below a email AberdareOnline received from RCTC

A response 25 September from RCTC

The Council has resubmitted proposals to Welsh Government following feed back in respect of our original proposals. We anticipate receiving comments on these proposals imminently and have been pro actively liaising with Welsh Government officers to achieve a timely and positive outcome. Subject to confirmation we will implement the agreed solution as quickly as possible.

and worse it will get when new school opens, I think this will be the final death nail for Aberdare town centre, shops wont survive gridlock, and shoppers will go else where
