Public Rights of Way in Rhondda Cynon Taf

Stacey Delbridge Public Rights of Way Officer for Rhondda Cynon Taf

Having received information on the PROW system from Abernant to Cefnpennar it would appear these PROW as shown on the Ordnance Survey map have not been inspected for years.

Some sections are blocked off stiles are imposable to use and barbwire used on wooden stiles. I understand this section within RCTC is short of staff with some on long-term sick leave and the manager only working part time.

PROW should not be closed for more than 24 hours unless authorization has been achieved so why are our PROW left blocked and impossible to use?

This is another department within Rhondda Cynon Taf Council that is not cost effective, Andrew Morgan needs to look a little closer to home before he keeps making stringent cuts to public services and hick up prices to sports centers and sports grounds.
