Sad news today of the death of Dave Leetham, longstanding landlord of the 'Glosters' public house, in Aberdare. Sympathies to his family and friends. RIP Dai.
Dai will be sorely missed by his family and his many, many, friends. His humour was as dry and wicked as no other i have met,and all done with a straight face .or a twinkle in hie eye and a lopsided grin.He played in the front row for Aberaman and Tredegar, where he gained a reputation as a fiercesome scrummager, He had the heart of a Bengal tiger, but, more than that, he was a lovely, lovely, MAN, and without doubt, simply a legend in his own lifetime.
Was he still the Landlord till he died then?? If so I know who everyone is talking about.
Thoughts go to his family and friends xx
Deepest sympathy to Dave's family & friends. He was truly one of the 'nice guys'. Sad to learn of his passing.
Jim. Perth W.Australia.
Yes, David was still the landlord. He'll be sadly missed.
