ancestors from Penrhiwceiber

Hello,
I live in the USA and am interested in tracing my family history in Wales. My grandmother was born in Penrhiwceiber (they lived in Llanwono) in 1895 to Martin Hosking (originally from St. Just in Penwith, Cornwall, and his wife Mary Davies (I guess she was one of thousands!) I think she was a widow when she married Hosking and Davies was her first husband's surname. I think she also originated in Cornwall. If anyone could be of any help in knowing where to begin I'd really appreciate the guidance. Specifically, I'm trying to find out when Martin and Mary died, and under what circumstances their two youngest children were sent to Nova Scotia to live. Thanks a lot- this is a great site and I really enjoy the old pictures. Carl Anderson

Hi Bulldriver, on Free BDM there is only one Martin Hosking who fits the time scale, his death was registered in Pontypridd in the March quarter of 1913, and he was 58.
I checked him out on the 1881 census site and he was born in St Just Cornwall, I could not find a marriage for him.
If you want to find out more get on to the Rootschat site, it is free and they are really helpful on there.
Best Wishes Bethan
