Customer Services pleas can you forward this e-mail on to Nigel Wheeler Director of Streetcare having e-mailed the director with no response 25th September 2014.
Having being informed by Natural Resources Wales Rhondda Cynon Taf Council are responsible for discarded shopping trolleys Ref: 9 Environmental Protection Act (EPA) 1995.
Attached a just a few photographs of shopping trolleys polluting the River Cynon taken yesterday, we have written to Natural Resources Wales, as local residents are concerned with the volume of debris building up in the River Cynon. Photographs sent to Natural Resources Wales yesterday show a number of fallen trees crossing the river we have informed them of the shopping trolleys.
You will recall last winter there was positional risk of flooding on the new estate Coed Duffryn and the Ynys was flooded and the Sobell Centre had to close.
I don’t think this problem can be ignored this subject was also raised in the last Aberaman North PACT meeting along with fly tipping in Aberaman reported to the new local Labour councillor but the rubbish remains rear lane Violet Street Aberaman.
We wait Nigel Wheeler response
