Welsh Labour admits there's no plan to take Wales out of lockdown

Responding to the Welsh Government’s admission that it is no longer following its Coronavirus action plan, Welsh Conservative Senedd leader, Andrew RT Davies MS said:

“It’s clear Labour have no plan to take families, workers and businesses in Wales out of lockdown.

“The health minister has dismissed Welsh Conservative calls for the publication of a roadmap, citing his government’s Coronavirus Control Plan.

“Yet today, he admits they are no longer following the plan due to the Kent variant, despite the fact the plan was published when we were in lockdown and after health officials were already saying it was the dominant strain in Wales.

“Labour have got themselves into a right mess on this issue and it’s down to politics – not public health. Welsh Conservatives would build a better Wales and this would start with the immediate implementation of a roadmap out of lockdown.”
