Police in Ferndale are appealing for information after vandals damaged gravestones in Ferndale cemetery.
Six headstones were damaged and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
PC Steve Davies said: “This mindless act has been committed by someone who has no concern for the emotional impact their behaviour will have on the families who wish to pay respect to their loved ones.
“This incident is not typical of what happens in Ferndale and we are looking for any information to assist us in dealing with this incident quickly and robustly. We take these types of offences extremely seriously and will make every effort to find those responsible.
“We are asking for the public’s help and are urging anyone who may have witnessed people acting suspiciously in the area to get in touch.”
