Urgent drugs warning following Rhondda chemist break-in
An urgent warning has been issued by South Wales Police following the theft of a large quantity of dangerous drugs from a chemist in Rhondda this morning.
Officers have serious concerns after what has been described as potentially lethal ‘MST’ tablets were taken in the raid on the chemist in Park View North Terrace, Ferndale.
Those responsible smashed the front door to gain entry to the premises in the early hours of Friday, 17 October.
Officers suspect the drugs will be sold on, and are warning people not to be tempted into taking them, as they could easily kill.
Police are keen to trace who was responsible, in the hope their enquiries will also lead them to the stolen drugs.
The person responsible and anyone else involved in their distribution should understand that the consequences of someone becoming harmed as a result of their actions will be extremely serious.
Anyone who has information about the theft, but most importantly the location of these drugs, are urged to contact South Wales Police via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
