Update on gas replacement works in Mountain Ash
As Mountain Ash residents, shoppers and business owners will be aware, Wales and West Utilities are currently undertaking essential gas pipe replacement works in the Town Centre.
The current phase of work on Oxford Street, from its junction with Commercial Street to its junction with Henry Street, is due to be completed this week.
In order to minimise disruption to residents, business and shoppers, as part of the current road closure in place, the Council will take the opportunity to carry out essential resurfacing works along Oxford Street from its junction with Commercial Street to its junction with Henry Street this weekend before reopening this part of Oxford Street from Monday 17th August – two weeks ahead of schedule.
Wales and West Utilities will start on the next phase of works along Oxford Street, from its junction with Henry Street, south eastwards to its junction with Darran Road, from Monday 17th August.
Wales and West Utilities will be writing to businesses and residents in Mountain Ash with a full update on the works being undertaken.
