Temporary Road Closure – A4059 Aberdare Bypass, from its junction with the Asda Roundabout to its junction with Tinney’s Roundabout
RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL
(A4059 ABERDARE) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council have made an Order under Section 14 and 88 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months and are necessary to improve road safety whilst works are being carried out on or near the road.
The effect of the Order will be to: –
1. Temporary Road Closure – A4059 Aberdare Bypass, from its junction with the Asda Roundabout to its junction with Tinney’s Roundabout Duration – Overnight between 2300 hours and 0600 hours from 6th January 2020 for 12 weeks To reduce the impact on traffic, there will be no more than 3 consecutive overnight closures at any time during the 12 week period
2. Temporary 30mph speed limit – A4059 Aberdare Bypass, from its junction with the Asda Roundabout, north westwards for a distance of 640 metres Duration- from 6th January 2020 for 12 weeks or until such time as the works have been completed During the road closure the alternative route for vehicles is as follows:
Alternative route – from the southern side of the closure, prove via A4059, Cwmbach Roundabout, Canal Road, Cwmbach Road, Abernant Roundabout, Ynys Roundabout and A4059 to the northern side of the closure. For vehicles travelling in the opposite direction, reverse the directions given above Alternative route for vehicles exceeding 12’ 00” restrictions – from the southern side of the closure, proceed via A4059, Cwmbach Roundabout, Canal Road, Cwmbach Road, Abernant Roundabout, Wellington Street, Meirion Street Roundabout and A4059 to the northern side of the closure. For vehicles travelling in the opposite direction reverse the directions given above.
Access for emergency service vehicles WILL NOT be maintained Access for pedestrians will be maintained
