TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE CYNON TRAIL MOUNTAIN ASH

RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (CYNON TRAIL, MOUNTAIN ASH) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2019 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will have a maximum duration of six months The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding along that part of the Cynon trail that commences approximately 56 metres west of Rocialle, Unit D, Cwm Cynon Industrial Park, Mountain Ash, CF45 4ER (Grid Reference ST05459824) and proceeds north west for approximately 600 metres to terminate 30 metres south of a footbridge that crosses Afon Cynon connecting to an area of open green space adjoining the railway line and Mountain Ash Train Station (Grid Reference ST05179874) The restriction is necessary to facilitate the diversion of the existing combined sewer in the vicinity of the Mountain Ash Southern Cross Valley Link Road The Order will be in operation from 9th August 2019 for a period of 6 months For the duration of the closure, the alternative route commenced approximately 56 metres west of Rocialle, Unit D, Cwm Cynon Industrial Park, Mountain Ash, CF45 4ER (Grid Reference ST05459824) and proceeds in a generally northerly direction for approximately 990 metres through cwm Cynon Industrial Park, along Cardiff Road and then over a bridge crossing Afon Cynon into an area of open green space adjoining the railway line and Mountain Ash Train Station (Grid Reference ST05089895) Dated 23 July 2019 Andrew Wilkins Director of Legal Services The Pavilions, Cambrian Park, Clydach Vale, CF40 2XX
