St Johns Community Arts Project
This term St Johns have launched the CAP (Community Arts Project) initiative. The scheme allows students the opportunity to showcase their abilities by aiding members of the community creatively. Work is to be generated at school or on site by teams of students working towards completion of their Duke of Edinburgh award or the Welsh Baccalaureate.
Our first project saw a team of five pupils and staff visit the home of an autistic child where they painted a large scale Pixar based mural in his sensory room. This time consuming project has been immensely rewarding and pupils should be commended for the way that they have applied themselves throughout.
