St John’s CCFC U16 Tournament – House of Sport, Cardiff
The U16 football girls played in the 1st ever CCFC U16 tournament yesterday at House of Sport in Cardiff. The standard of football there was very high and the girls had to play some exceptional football in order to compete.
They played 4 games (won 3, lost 1) before making it through to the semi-finals where they beat Rhydywaun 5-0. The final saw us up against Lewis Girls. With everyone watching (including 2 CCFC first team players) the girls saved their best game till last. They played some outstanding football and dominated the game from start to finish. They became champions after winning the game 4-0!
The team will now represent St John's in the regional finals in January!
The girls were fantastic & represented SJB in the best way possible. They were a pleasure to look after for the day and couldn't have asked for more from them!
