A special operation targeting anti-social behaviour in Rhydyfelin
A special operation targeting anti-social behaviour in Rhydyfelin is underway.
In October there was an increase of anti-social behaviour around Poets Close Area and the Ilan Centre.
These included eggs being thrown at properties, verbal abuse and clowns being sighted.
Since October Operation Blue Vulcan has been running in the area to address the issues.
This has included high visibility patrols and use of the police horses and dogs.
Local Policing Inspector Liz McCathy said: “I would like to reassure the local residents of Rhydyfelin that we are aware of the issues and we are addressing them. The operation has already seen a number of referrals for anti-social behaviour and arrests for criminal damage and the operation is continuing.”
