South Wales Police dismantled two cannabis factories in Tonypandy and Treherbert.
Police in Rhondda have dismantled two cannabis factories.
Acting on concerns from local residents, officers seized cannabis plants from houses in Tonypandy and Treherbert.
Three men were arrested at the property in Tonypandy after trying to escape through a window and a teenage boy, who had been reported missing from London in August, was also found at the house.
Measures are now in place to ensure his safety and wellbeing.
Evidence found at the scene led officers to a second cannabis factory in Treherbert.
Chief Inspector Anthony Moyle, said: “Thanks to information from the community we took two sophisticated cannabis factories out of business this week.
“Many may not realise the reality of the suffering behind organised criminal activities, but it is clear and very present in our communities.
“Anybody who suspects cannabis is being grown in their community should contact us immediately.”
Two men have been charged with cannabis cultivation and enquiries are continuing.
