SOUTH WALES FIRE AND RESCUE AUTHORITY AUDIT OF ACCOUNTS
Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of regulation 12 of the
Accounts and Audit (Wales) Regulations 2014 and sections 29 and 30
of the Public Audit (Wales) Act 2004.
1. From Thursday 27 July to Wednesday 23 August 2017 inclusive between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm on Monday to Thursday and 9:00am and 3:00pm Friday, any person interested on application to the Finance & Procurement Department, South Wales Fire & Rescue Service, Headquarters, Forest View Business Park, Pontyclun may inspect and make copies of the accounts for the year ended 31 March 2017.
1. On or after 25 August 2017 at 9.00am until the completion of the audit, the Auditor, at the request of a local government elector for the area to which the accounts relate, will give the elector or his representative an opportunity to question him about the accounts and any such elector or his representative may attend before the Auditor and make objections as to any matter in respect of which the Auditor could take action under section 32 of the Public Audit (Wales) Act (namely, an unlawful item of account, failure to bring a sum to account, or a loss or deficiency caused by wilful misconduct), or could make a report in the public interest under section 22 of the Act.
Questions may be received at South Wales Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters, Forest View Business Park, Llantrisant, Pontyclun by arrangement with the Auditor (Mr Mark Jones, 24 Cathedral Road, Cardiff, CF11 9LJ – telephone 02920 320500) to whom requests for this purpose should be addressed. No objection may be made unless the Auditor has previously received written notice of the proposed objection and its grounds. A copy of this notice must be sent to me at the address below.
