The salaries for Rhondda Cynon Taf Councilors together with allowances for 2017-18 that would be payable are as follows: –
Basic Salary for all councilors is £13,400 plus expenses
Senior Salaries
The Leader of the council gets £53,100 and expenses
The Deputy Leader gets £37,100 plus and expenses
Cabinet members Executive members – Level 1 £32,100 and expenses
Cabinet members Executive members – Level 2 £28,900 and expenses
If you chair a committee you get paid extra
Committee Chairs – Level 1 £22,100 and expenses
Committee Chairs – Level 2 £20,100 and expenses
Leader of largest opposition group also gets paid an extra £22,100 plus expenses
If you are a leader of another political group or groups (a political group other than controlling/ largest opposition group (if any) which comprises not less than ten per cent of the members of the Council) you get £17,100 plus expenses.
