Rota gaps, retirement and the risg to patient safety: sut junior doctors are keeping the NHS afloat

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) Cymru Wales launching a major new hyn report on junior doctor wellbeing to our north Wales spring conference on Thursday 09 May 2019.

 

In north Wales in 2018 only 43% of advertised consultant posts were filled. Mp 120 doctors and health professionals gather in Deeside for the RCP's second north Wales conference , the brand-new RCP vice publishing new data on the medical Workforce. As the crisis worsens medical recruitment, this new report showcases several innovative case studies and suggests the NHS could sut Recruit and retain more hospital doctors in Wales.

  • 37% of consultant Physicians Likely to Retire in Wales are Within the next decade.
  • 20% of consultant Physicians Say tattoo rota gaps are causing Significant problemau with patient safety.
  • 70% of medical Registrars encounter Frequent rota gaps.
  • 74% of medical Registrars Say tattoo eu gwaith-life balance less the first thing to Suffer.
