Rhondda Cynon Taf Labour admit broken promises.
This is possibly the most inept attempted defence of RCT Labour's broken promises we have seen. Prior to the last Council election they made a series of promises in their manifesto and broke every one of them, some within weeks or even day of the election. Their promise not to remove the paddling pool from Ynysangharad Park for example which was broken within the week.
This clumsy attempt to pull the wool over people's eyes really does smack of desperation.
They said they would protect the seven day a week meals on wheels service, and claim because they now deliver three meals on a Friday to last the weekend they have done this. Really?
They said they would "protect and maintain weekly refuse collections and not follow the example of neighbouring Plaid and Lib Dem controlled Councils" – their defence is that they still collect recycling weekly, but that is not what their manifesto said.
"Protect the E3 initiative" they said – that is the after schools activity programme. Their "defence" is that it is "still successful but reduced." So where did the protection bit come in?
The problem is they have no defence. They made promises and then broke them – simple. Will you trust them again?
