RCT have now confirmed that they are consulting on proposals to introduce charges for all discretionary transport. This would mean a £1.75 per day charge for every pupil who uses RCT transport to attend St John Baptist Church in Wales High School, with free school meal children paying £1.
All of the Church schools in RCT are against these proposals.
Home to School Transport Consultation Meeting
St John Baptist Church in Wales High School
Tuesday 7 July 3:20 - 6:00pm
Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council will be holding a 'Home to School Transport Consultation Meeting' at St John Baptist Church in Wales High School on Tuesday 7 July 3:20 - 6:00pm.
This meeting is an opportunity to voice your concerns directly to officers from RCT and see exactly how you are affected. We would urge every parent to attend. These proposals currently only affect those living in RCT. However, if successful they will have a long and lasting impact on the nature of this school. Every parent has a right to have their concerns answered.
Download a copy of a letter given to every pupil inviting you to this consultation (please scroll to bottom of page for the link).
