Patients and staff recreate Come Dine With Me and Pinewood House

Staff and patients at Pinewood House in Treorchy have created their own special version of Come Dine With Me.

The mental health rehabilitation unit in Treorchy played host to an adapted version of the popular television show as patients and members of staff joined in to create three different courses for each other.

Each of the three floors was allocated a different course, with nachos, sweet potato curry and three chocolate malteser cheesecake all on the menu. The unit was decorated for the event, staff and patients helped to make and serve the meals and scores were given for each course.

Claire Goatson, Ward Manager at Pinewood House, said: “As part of the weekly recovery group Pinewood House decided to put on our own social event where we could enjoy some healthy competition, along with a very sociable fun opportunity to all eat together.

“Each floor hosted a course for the delicious meal and a big thank you to the judges and everyone who took part!”
