Outstanding Success of Dexter Lee – Former pupil St John Baptist High School gets top marks

Dexter Lee a former pupil was recently recognised for his outstanding performance in this summer’s A Level Exams. Dexter achieved a remarkable score of 400 UMS out of 400 UMS in his Geography A Level Exam. This was the best score of all Wales and England Students who took the Welsh Joint Education Committee Exam Paper in June last year. Dexter’s fantastic score was recognised at the recent WJEC A Level Achievement Awards. St John’s was proud to see Dexter win his prize and celebrate this achievement with other pupils from other subject areas at this prestigious event.

Mr Martyn Wiltshire (Head of Geography) accompanied Dexter and his family to the awards event. Mr Wiltshire who has taught Dexter from Year 7 said, “This award rightly recognises the sustained effort and hard work that Dexter put in over the years in Geography. He was a pleasure to teach and his flair for the subject emerged early on. I’m delighted that Dexter’s excellent score has been recognised by the WJEC and this award is much deserved”.

Dexter Lee is now studying Economics and Geography at the London School of Economics. St John’s wishes Dexter every success with his future studies, we are incredibly proud of him, well done!
