Ongoing investigation into the death of Jamie Perkins in Gilfach Goch

South Wales Police are continuing to appeal for the public’s help in the ongoing investigation into the death of Jamie Perkins.
Jamie was last seen alive by a witness in the Gilfach Goch area on the 12 October 2017 and his body was found on 1 November 2017 in an area known locally as Bog lane in Gilfach Goch.
DCI Gareth Morgan, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “We are currently treating this as a murder investigation. The investigation is very much ongoing and we can confirm that when found, Jamie had injuries that suggest he had been assaulted.
“There are a lot of unanswered questions and we really need your help to piece together exactly what happened to Jamie.
“We are keen to hear from anyone with any information, including anyone who may have seen Jamie after October 8 which is the last CCTV sighting.”
Two local men aged 38 and 44-year-old have today been arrested and are currently helping police with their enquiries.
Two people who were previously arrested have been released under investigation.
