National Autism Heroes Awards 2015

Holly’s Ball was launched at the National Assembly for Wales in November 2010 by Holly’s Assembly Member Jeff Cuthbert. The launch was attended by assembly members, professionals, parents and people touched by autism.

The launch of the 2015 National Autism Heroes Awards took place on 2nd April 2015 at the National Assembly for Wales. Karen MacDonald ALNCo, Sally England ALN Assistant, Ethan Evans and Owen Instrell Year 9 attended the launch where they were also informed that they had reached the shortlist of 3 for their nominated category.

 

 

Extra Mile Award

The award for a teacher, headteacher, teaching assistant, etc, who has gone that extra mile to help children.

There are 3 finalists including:

·         Karen Macdonald from St John's

·         Sally England from St John’s

 

The Outstanding Personal Achievement award in Education

There are 3 finalists in this award category including:

·         Ethan Evans from St John’s

 

Simon Brooks Ray of Hope Award for Friendship

This is a new Category this year in memory of a very special young man who is no longer with us because bullying got too much.
We hope that you are happy Simon wherever you are now.
This Award Category serves to remind us that friendship is so important because it really can help pull us through very difficult times.

There are 3 finalists in this award category including:

·         Owen Instrell from St John’s 

Holly’s ball will take place on June 27th at the Marriott Hotel in Swansea. The Awards will be presented on the night.
