RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL

(VARIATION, WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS, RESIDENTS PARKING) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council have made various Orders under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the Traffic Regulation Order specified in Schedule 1
2. Vary the Traffic Regulation Order specified in Schedule 2
3. Introduce Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time on the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 3
4. Introduce Prohibition of Loading At Any Time on the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 4
5. Introduce Loading Only Monday to Saturday 8am-6pm on the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 5
6. Introduce Residents Parking Only Monday to Saturday 8am-6pm on the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 6
7. Introduce shared Residents Parking and Limited Waiting in excess of 2 hours with No return within 4 hours Monday to Saturday 8am- 6pm on the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 7
The properties which will be eligible for Residents Parking are specified in Schedule 8
The Order will come into operation on 17th September 2018
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it had not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 17th September 2018 apply to the High Court for this purpose
SCHEDULE 1 – Revocation
The Urban District of Mountain Ash Order sealed on 6th September 1949 shall be revoked in its entirety
SCHEDULE 2 – Variation
1. The “Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and On Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2012” shall be varied by the revocation of the following Orders in their entirety from the Schedule of Orders:-
a. Urban District of Mountain Ash (Various Streets) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 1973
b. Urban District of Mountain Ash (Fountain Street Mountain Ash) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 1974
c. Mid Glamorgan County Council (Dyffryn Street Part and Union Street Part Mountain Ash) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1983
d. Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council (Pryce Street Dyffryn Street and Chancery Lane Mountain Ash) (Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time) Variation Order 2005
2. The “Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and On Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2012” shall be varied by the removal of the relevant items from the following Orders:-
a. Urban District Council of Mountain Ash (Various Streets) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 1968 shall be varied by the removal of items 5 and 8 from schedule 1 of the Order
b. Mid Glamorgan County Council (Duffryn Street Pryce Street and Knight Street Mountain Ash) (Street Parking Places Variation and Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1979 shall be varied by the removal of items b(ii) and b(iii) and c(i) and c(ii) from the schedule of the Order
c. Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council (Quarry Road Woodland Street and Adjacent Roads Mountain Ash) (Variation Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time Prohibition of Left Hand Turning Movements and 20 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2010 shall be varied by the removal of the relevant items a and b of Part 1 and reference to Dyffryn Street Part 2 from the Order.

a. The north west side of Chancery Lane from its junction with Dyffryn Street north eastwards for a distance of 5 metres
b. The north west side of Darran Road from its junction with Oxford Street south westwards for a distance of 14 metres
c. The north west side of Darran Road from a point 9 metres north east of its junction with Ifor Street south westwards to a point 7 metres south west of its junction with Dover Street a distance of 150 metres
d. The south eastern side of Darran Road from its junction with Oxford Street south westwards to its junction with High Street a distance of 264 metres
e. The north east side of Dyffryn Street from its junction with Union Street north westwards for a distance of 5 metres
f. The north east side of Dyffryn Street from its junction with Union Street south eastwards for a distance of 9 metres
