Mountain Ash new speed restrictions coming into force
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council propose to make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to:
1. Introduce a 20mph speed limit on the streets identified in Schedule 1
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council propose under Sections 90A, 90C and 90G of the Highways Act 1980, the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 and the Highways (Traffic Calming) Regulations 1999 and all enabling powers, to implement the following:
2. Flat Top Speed Cushions to be provided in groups of three at, or within the vicinity of the locations specified in Schedule 2
3. Flat Top Speed Hump to be provided at, or within the vicinity of the location specified in Schedule 3
A copy of the relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the Principal Offices of the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, The Pavilions, Cambrian Park, Clydach Vale, Tonypandy, CF40 2XX and Mountain Ash Library, Knight Street, Mountain Ash, CF45 3EY until 8th January 2018
Objections to the proposal together with the grounds on which they are made must be sent in writing to the Traffic Manager, Sardis House, Sardis Road, Pontypridd, CF37 1DU by 8th January 2018
SCHEDULE 1 – 20mph Speed Limit
Cilhaul Terrace and Llanwonno Road from a point 7 metres south of the southern boundary of No. 45 Llanwonno Road in a general southerly direction for a distance of 445 metres
SCHEDULE 2 – Speed Cushions
(Not exceeding 100mm in height; Length 2500 mm; Width 1900 mm)
To be provided in groups of three at, or within the vicinity of the following locations:
a. Outside Hillcrest, Llanwonno Road
b. The common boundary of No. 58 and 60 Llanwonno Road
c. Outside No. 48 Cilhaul Terrace
d. Outside No. 25 Cilhaul Terrace
SCHEDULE 3 –Flat Top Speed Hump
(Not Exceeding 100mm in height; Not Exceeding 10,000 mm in length)
To be provided at or within the vicinity of the following locations:
a. Outside St Gwynno House
