THE MAIN A4059 THROUGH MOUNTAIN ASH TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along the A4059 Mountain Ash, from its junction with Upper Forest Level to its junction with the Cwm Cynon Business Park
The restriction is necessary to enable works to be executed on or near the road.
The Order would come into force from 05:30am on Saturday 14th April 2018 to 04:00am on Monday 16th April 2018 or until such time as the works are completed.
Access will be maintained for pedestrians and emergency service vehicles.
During the period of the closure, the alternative route for vehicles is as follows: –
From the northern side of the closure, proceed via the A4059, Hirwaun Roundabout, A465 Heads of the Valleys Road, A470, Abercynon Roundabout and A4059 to the southern side of the closure.
From the southern side of the closure, reverse the directions given above.
