Have your say on taxi services in Rhondda Cynon Taf
Whether you use them regularly for your weekly shopping, or just rely on them to get home at the end of a good night, everyone in RCT relies upon a safe, responsible and effective taxi service.
An important consultation exercise has been launched and everyone is invited to get involved and take a few minutes of their time to complete a short questionnaire which will help shape future services.
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Licensing Team is in charge of monitoring and regulating the taxi industry in the county borough, ensuring the standards of service, vehicles and individual drivers alike is of the standard we expect and deserve.
In recent months, the Licensing team has received generic feedback from members of the taxi and private vehicle hire trade about the standard at which some firms and individual drivers are operating.
It has also been raised that residents may be unaware of who they can complain to and where they can raise their concerns about the service and standards they have experienced.
As a result, the Licensing Team has launched the consultation to secure the real experiences – good and bad – concerns, complaints and compliments from the general public direct.
Such information is vital to the ongoing monitoring of the licensing trade and associated protection of the public. The information needs to come to the Licensing Team direct, rather than through third parties or as hearsay, so they can take action accordingly.
