Hair & Beauty Trip to Cardiff
On Friday 4th March, a group of Hair & Beauty pupils visited Boots the Chemist’s Cosmetic Department in Cardiff. The purpose of the event was for the pupils to have an insight into different type of careers, within the makeup and beauty industry.
During the day, the pupils gained experience, spoke to the staff on different counters within Boots, ranging from the house brand ‘Number 7’ cosmetics to ‘Smashbox’, but the most appealing counter to work on, was the most popular brand within Boots, ‘Benefit’.
The girls felt the texture of the products, compared prices and packaging and tested some of them.
The staff were very friendly and advised the girls on how to apply for a career within cosmetics. It was a very successful day. The pupils were extremely pleased when they were all given goody bags. These contained a variety of different skincare and cosmetics products for them to try at home.
