If you are vision impaired, deaf or deafblind, and have had contact with your local Social Services in Wales recently, Action on Hearing Loss Cymru and RNIB Cymru want to hear about your experiences. This request is part of a three-year, Welsh Government funded project, to improve access for deaf and blind people to public services including housing, social services and health services. Last year, the project focused on housing, and as a result, a guide for housing providers on the needs of people with sensory loss was produced, so your experiences can make a real difference.
People’s stories will be taken to their local Social Service Department and used as examples to show how they can improve their service for those who have a sensory loss. Individuals can simply tell their story, or have the chance to be part of a focus group in their area.
