Fully-funded PhDs in social care available
Are you interested in a PhD in social care? The School of Social Sciences at Cardiff University, supported by the Economic and Social Research Council Doctoral Training Partnership for Wales, is currently accepting applications for PhD studentships.
Welsh Government is interested in co-funding two PhDs on the following social care topics:

What works to prevent children going into care?

Kinship care, such as: what are the outcomes for children in kinship care placements; why do kinship care placements break down; or how can kinship care placements best be supported?
The PhDs, along with a research methods Masters if needed, will be fully funded for three or four years on a full-time basis or the part-time equivalent. The studentships will begin in October 2017 and will cover tuition fees, as well as a maintenance grant. The award also includes a Research Training Support Grant of up to £750 for three years for full-time students.
Anyone who has a good first degree and who is interested in moving into social care research is welcome to apply. The deadline for applications is 12noon on 10 February 2017.
