Wales YFC will hold a full programme of activities at the Royal Welsh Agricultural Winter Fair, and for many of the Wales YFC members the lure of the Winter Fair is just as strong as that of the Royal Welsh Show.

The Wales YFC activities will commence on the Sunday with the arrival of stock for both the best prime lamb producer competition sponsored by Dunbia and the Wales YFC Calf Rearing Competition which is being sponsored by ABP. A full programme of competitions will then follow over the two days, FUW beef and lamb stockjudging, Randall Parker Foods carcass judging, lamb trimming and a decorate a Christmas tree competition.

During the Winter Fair, Wales YFC extends an invite to the Shropshire, Herefordshire and Cheshire YFC Federations to compete in the beef and lamb stock judging competitions.

To celebrate the 25th Winter Fair, Wales YFC President, Dai Jones will be hosting a reception on the Monday evening at the YFC Centre, just in time to watch the fireworks which are part of the Winter Fair 25th celebrations.

The Wales YFC Rural Affairs committee will also be busy during the Winter Fair with a reception at the YFC Centre at 12pm on the Monday and a carcass competition in association with Dunbia which is open to members of the Wales YFC Lamb Initiative.

A trip to the Winter Fair would not be complete without a visit to see Father Christmas. Make sure you stop by at the YFC Centre where there’ll be a Santa’s Grotto and a chance to thaw out with a tea or coffee, there’s a warm welcome to everyone.
