The full line up for the 2015 Young Peoples Village at Builth Wells has been announced by Wales YFC.

The Young Peoples Village, sponsored by Harper Adams University, is an event that takes place during the week of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show, and will see more than 15,000 partygoers descend upon the entertainment and camping site.

Kicking off the event on the Sunday (19th July) will be Mellt, a band from Ceredigion who write their own songs. Fresh from performing at T in the Park and returning to the YFC stage by popular demand will be Yr Eira from North Wales. Crowd pleaser Huw Bryant will also be performing.

No YPV line-up would be complete without a Radio 1 DJ and this year the line up boasts of two! On Monday night Danny Howard will play his renowned ‘Dance Anthems’ to the YPV crowd and the Squatters and the Futuristic Polar Bears will complete the line up.

On the Tuesday night (22nd July) Matt Edmondson who is new to the YPV will be delivering a DJ set to thousands of partiers. Also performing will be Yws Gwynedd, and from the Voice Liss Jones to complete the talent show line up Jay James who found fame courtesy of the X Factor will perform.

You’ll be needing your shades at the ready for the big Wednesday night ‘Beach Party’! Delyth McLean, one of the most recent additions to the Welsh musical landscape will kick us off and will be joined by Luke Friend from the X Factor along with Clara Amfo. Claosing the weeks entertainment will be an alternative pop-rock band form the sleepy suburbs of South and South West Wales, the UK’s number one Rock and Pop covers band and YPV favourites; The Chip Shop Boys. The fancy dress theme for the Wednesday night is Beach Party along with the must have foam party!

Throughout the week resident DJ Gareth Hopkins and comperes Rhydian Bowen Phillips and Ifan Jones Evans will be working up the crowd.

Helen Joseph, Wales YFC’s Events Chairman said;

“This is the highlight of the YFC calendar and Wales YFC are always working hard to make it bigger and better each year. We think it is important to support local Welsh acts and to give them the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of people. We are also passionate about bringing well-known acts to the Village, ensuring that we are the best entertainment and camping site for young people during the Royal Welsh Show. We would also like to thank Harper Adams University for their continued support in sponsoring this event.”

The Young Peoples Village, which is situated less than a mile from the Royal Welsh Showground, is also home to an excellent camping and caravanning site with all the facilities that you should need such as electric hook-ups, hot showers, cash machines and WiFi.

Tickets for the event along with caravan and camping plots are available to book during the week of the Royal Welsh.
