Freeze Council Tax
We believe your council tax should be frozen.
No matter where you live.
No matter how much you currently pay.
It shouldn't rise.
In England, Conservatives in government have made money available for councils to facilitate a freeze.
Despite receiving additional finances as a result of that, the Welsh Labour government has always refused to do the same.
If they'd put party politics aside and put you first since 2010/11 – when the English freeze began – the average Band D household in Wales would now have saved a total of £545. Of that, £201 would be saved in the current financial year alone.
Labour holds the local authority purse strings in Wales and has done since 1999. They have the power to decide on a council tax freeze.
Yet still our bills rocket.
It's time for common sense.
It's time for a Welsh Conservative council tax freeze.
