Cwm Taf: Understanding Our Communities

Public services partners across RCT and Merthyr Tydfil are seeking the views of all individuals and groups, service users and service providers on what is important to them, the good things about communities, how they feel about their own and collective wellbeing and what could be done to build on community assets to improve services. We want to hear from as many people as possible and we need your help to spread the word.

There are three different conversations that we are interested in having. They are:

Questions Who should have this conversation
Understanding Our Communities: Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 Anyone who lives, works or socialises/uses services in Cwm Taf
Understanding Our Communities: Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 – Residents/service users Anyone who uses health/care services or support (including social services) in Cwm Taf; carers who support those who use health/care services or support (including social services); and anyone else who wishes to share their thoughts on health/care services and support (including social services)
Understanding Our Communities: Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 – Service providers/staff Anyone who provides health/care services or support (including social services) in Cwm Taf

How can you get involved?

  • Questionnaires are available online and in libraries, sports centres and Council buildings across RCT and Merthyr Tydfil and can be returned. Hard copies and copies in other formats are also available on request.
  • We will be attending lots of events over the summer where you can join us and have your say. Details of all events will be promoted on our Facebook and Twitter pages:
    facebook  twitter

    Rhondda Cynon Taf Council

    Merthyr Tydfil CBC

    Cwm Taf University Health Board

     @CwmTafConsult
  • We are asking communities and community groups to have their own conversations and let us know what they talk about. If you would like to share your conversations with us, please let us know here and we can have a chat and give you a template to record your thoughts in.

Opportunities to get involved are ongoing, but this first stage open until 23/09/2016. We will keep you updated on how you can stay involved/get involved later.

To make sure that we are getting information from as many people as possible (and from the right people!), we need your help to share this work with your networks and encourage the people you live, work and socialise with to share their views with us. Please take a moment to share/circulate/tweet/complete yourself/tell others/mention it in forums and networks!

If you have any questions, please do get in touch.

Many thanks for your help.
