Closure Order on a private property Neighbourhood Policing Team in Talbot Green

The Neighbourhood Policing Team in Talbot Green recently secured a Closure Order on a private property, in Heol Miles, after receiving numerous complaints from members of the public about overt drug dealing in and around the house.

Police Sergeant Darryl Phillips said: "We have worked extremely hard, along with our partners in Rhondda Cynon Taff Anti Social Behaviour Team, to ensure that the ASB caused from the use of this address as a base for drug supply was stopped.

"It has caused great upset and intimidation in the area and the residents just want to be able to live their lives without fear every time they leave their homes."

PCSO Chris Thomas added: "We would like to thank the local community for their assistance with this and we hope that this closure order will reduce the chances of this address being used again for such activities.

"Let this be a warning to others in the area who may be allowing their address to be used for the purpose of drug supply – not only could you face arrest and prosecution, but we could potentially obtain a closure for your property and render you homeless."

PS Phillips concluded by saying: "Nobody should have to live with this kind of behaviour on a daily basis and with our partners in RTC Council we will continue to identify any other cases of anti social behaviour and drug dealing and take appropriate action where necessary."
