Big Click is a Penrhys Partnership social enterprise based in Rhondda
They are creating technology in the heart of the Rhondda valleys aimed at supporting Welsh communities. Their main aim is to highlight the talents of Wales.
Ben Treharne-Foose who manages the enterprise said “We fuelled the industrial revolution and we need to be a driving force in the technological revolution”.
The also aim to Inspire Young People and Enthuse Communities
Every week they work with up to 40 primary school children exploring how to develop and manipulate technology through coding and robotics. Aled Samuels app designer said “We support communities through the apps we develop and encourage small businesses and charities to embrace the benefits of spreading their message and enhancing their service by developing new technology.”

The team having recently won an EPIC ( Enterprising People in Communities ). award, have also been chosen by Welsh Government (WG) to be part of its Digital Dozen group which will feature at the Digital 2015 conference in June. Essentially at the conference WG want to highlight 12 Welsh Businesses who are getting digital right and championing the use of technology.
They have also secured a substantial piece of work which spans three years and will bring in just under £100k. That is on top of their already commissioned apps.
To date they have created 8 apps for Wales with another 6 in development and 2-3 more scheduled before the end of the year, so they should have 18 apps under our belt in thier first two years of operation which would potentially make them the most productive app development team in Wales.
They also are majoring on Bi-Lingual Apps
So all is looking good up at Big Click in Penrhys!
