Abnormal load moves from Swansea to Rhigos
A reminder that the second of two abnormal load moves from Swansea to Rhigos is due to take place on Sunday 26th April.
The load will leave Swansea Docks at 6.30am and travels to the Rhigos electricity sub station.
The route is from Swansea Docks, onto the A483 Fabian Way to junctions 42 and 43 of the M4. The load will then continue along the A465, A4061, Rhigos Road, Thirteenth Avenue, Fourteenth Avenue to its destination.
The load will have a police escort and will be very slow moving. The journey time is expected to be around four hours.
The departure time of 6.30am is aimed at minimising disruption to the travelling public but motorists are advised that delays are possible and to seek an alternative route.
The first load movement took place on Sunday 19th April and went according to plan.
