(ABERCYNON ROAD / GROVERS LANE, GLYNCOCH)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Abercynon Road, Glyncoch, from its junction with The Grove, Glyncoch, northwards for a distance of 310 metres
The restriction is necessary to enable works to be carried out on or near the road
The Order is expected to be in operation from 10:00am on 3rd April 2018 to 3:00pm on 4th April 2018 or until the works are completed.
Access will be maintained for pedestrians and emergency service vehicles
During the period of the closure the alternative routes will be as follows:-
From the northern side of the closure, proceed via Abercynon Road, Park Street, Aberdare Road, Mountain Ash Road, Ynysmeurig Road, Route B4275, Abercynon southbound slip-on, Route A470, Bridge Street Roundabout, Bridge Street, Berw Road, Ynysybwl Road and Abercynon Road to the southern side of the closure
From the southern side of the closure, proceed via Abercynon Road, Ynysybwl Road, Berw Road, Gelliwastad Road, Catherine Street, Sardis Road, Broadway, the northbound A470 link road, Bridge Street Roundabout, Route A470, Abercynon northbound slip-off, Navigation Park Roundabout, Route B4275, Ynysmeurig Road, Walter Street, Edward Street, Mountain Ash Road, Aberdare Road, Park Street, Abercynon Road to the northern side of the closure
