Wales v Ireland Valleys Tour

Hi to all you rugby folks 11 of us Ulstermen are flying over for the Wales v Ireland game and staying in your Town of Aberdare.
Can any of your folks give us some ideas of good watering holes worth our attention over the weekend.

Aberaman used to have a lot of Irish doctors - mine was Dr Moffit from Dungannon. He liked his golf, fishing and rugby - he'd be pleased to see a new brewery has opened up just 400 metres from his home. It's called the Grey Trees Brewery - I've given the link below - they list the pubs in Aberdare selling their beers. As an Aberaman boy I've always liked the Temple Bar. Hope you enjoy your time in Wales even though you'll lose the match! Cheers.

Thanks for that Valboy7, most of us are from Belfast, Ballyclare, and Bangor Co Down on the Friday night what about Aberdare for night life.

Aberdare Con Club for Friday night. Also if you are not visiting Cardiff for the match, the Con Club will be a good place too watch it on TV. You will get a good friendly welcome there.

Hi Chestnut
Fortunately we all have tickets for the game, thanks for the info it is much appreciated and as for the welcome it was second to none as we were over a number of years ago Great friendly down to earth folks.

Hi Ulsterman, where are you staying in Aberdare?

Booked out the Marquis inn all weekend

Hi Ulsterman,
If you've stayed there before then you know Mel will look after you. The Con club should be a cert for you to visit on the Friday night.

Thanks Chestnut for your help stayed in the Marquis before great welcome and breakfast also will give the Con Club a shout.
